- Provenientes de Uruapan, Chavinda, Arteaga y Copándaro, las nuevas Palomas serán apoyadas en el trámite de su visa para reencontrarse con sus seres queridos en EU
Morelia, Michoacán, a 19 de abril de 2019.- Un total de 177 adultos y adultas mayores de los municipios de Uruapan, Chavinda, Arteaga y Copándaro, fueron integrados al programa de Palomas Mensajeras, estrategia del Gobierno de Michoacán que es ícono en la atención a la población connacional en el país y que busca la reunificación de las familias migrantes.
De esta manera, las y los beneficiados podrán realizar los trámites que les permitirán, en breve, reencontrarse con sus seres queridos en Estados Unidos, con el acompañamiento de la Secretaría del Migrante (Semigrante), que encabeza José Luis Gutiérrez Pérez.
En los últimos días, personal de la dependencia se trasladó a la comunidad de Caltzontzin, en el municipio de Uruapan, para revisar que 21 expedientes de madres y padres de familia cumplieran con los lineamientos para ingresar al programa de Palomas Mensajeras.
Además, en un trabajo coordinado con los ayuntamientos, 62 habitantes del municipio de Chavinda, 53 de Arteaga y 41 de Copándaro, que cubrieron los requisitos, se sumaron a la lista de 5 mil 810 beneficiados del programa, quienes han recibido su visa para viajar al vecino país del norte.
En los próximos días el Gobierno del Estado, a través de la Secretaría del Migrante, en coordinación con autoridades municipales, realizará el acompañamiento de las 177 personas a la Embajada de Estados Unidos en México, para apoyarles en los trámites de la visa que les permitirá viajar a California y reencontrarse con sus seres queridos, a quienes no han visto en décadas.
