Lázaro Cárdenas, Michoacán, 10 de noviembre de 2020.- Para el próximo ejercicio fiscal 2021, el diputado federal Feliciano Flores, en su calidad de presidente de la Comisión de Recursos Hidráulicos, Agua Potable y Saneamiento del Congreso de la Unión, proyecta un incremento al presupuesto de la Comisión Nacional del Agua (Conagua).
En conferencia de prensa, el legislador planteó un incremento de más de 1,500 millones de pesos al presupuesto, pese a la delicada situación económica por la pandemia del Covid-19, pasando de 23 mil millones de pesos a 24 mil, 500 millones aunque, no descartó que este se eleve, tras el análisis, a los 26 mil mdp.
Con este presupuesto, precisó que además de las obras relacionadas al servicio de agua potable y saneamiento, se contempla el sector hidroagrícola, el cual, en el presente año obtuvo un financiamiento superior a los 400 millones de pesos destinados a obras de conducción de riego, por ejemplo.
El diputado federal, indicó que en el 2020 se beneficiaron a 68 municipios de Michoacán con obras relacionadas en materia de agua, cuya inversión total fue de 469 millones de pesos.
En ese sentido, recordó que en Lázaro Cárdenas se trabaja en un proyecto de cambio de bombas y, posteriormente, en la captación por gravedad de aguas negras hacia una planta de tratamientos que abarque la cabecera municipal y la tenencia de Las Guacamayas.
Este último proyecto, aseguró el legislador, incrementaría el ingreso por venta de agua tratada a ArcelorMittal, además de reducir riesgos a la salud de los ciudadanos y medio ambiente con el cuidado de los mantos acuíferos.
Al compartir parte de su trabajo legislativo, Feliciano Flores dio cuenta de la aprobación de leyes e iniciativas emanadas del Gobierno federal, así como los trabajos para la creación de una nueva Ley General de Aguas Nacionales, la cual se encuentra en la elaboración del dictamen.
