Morelia, Michoacán, a 19 de abril del 2019.- Acorde al impulso que el Gobernador Silvano Aureoles Conejo, ha dado a la educación en Michoacán, en el último año, la Universidad Virtual del Estado (Univim), multiplicó su oferta académica, por lo que el próximo cuatrimestre programado para arrancar en el mes de mayo, iniciará con diecinueve maestrías, tres doctorados y seis licenciaturas.

Entre las nuevas opciones de enseñanza, destacan las maestrías en: Gestión y Evaluación Ambiental, la de Defensa Jurídica y Derechos Humanos, así como la maestría en Cultura Física, de igual forma se ha logrado consolidar la Especialidad en Producción y Comercialización del Mezcal, así como el Diplomado en Cocina Tradicional Michoacana.

El crecimiento de la oferta académica es un claro ejemplo del respaldo que la administración del Gobernador Silvano Aureoles Conejo, brinda a la educación en el Estado, tema que ha marcado como prioritario al asumir el compromiso de trabajar para que ningún estudiante se quede sin clases y que cursen su formación en espacios dignos y óptimos.

En cuanto a la educación superior, en su modalidad virtual, la instrucción es fortalecer los servicios y brindar a la población opciones viables, que atiendan las necesidades y demandas del campo laboral.

Además de las diecinueve maestrías y los tres doctorados, la UNIVIM, ofrece seis licenciaturas, cincuenta diplomados y quince cursos, los que en su conjunto atienden una población de 9 mil sesenta y tres alumnos; de ellos, 6 mil 930 cursan la licenciatura, mil 756 maestrías y 377 en el nivel de doctorado.

Entre la población estudiantil se cuenta con alumnos  y alumnas originarios de cada uno de los 113 municipios de Michoacán, así como residentes de varios estados de la República Mexicana, y algunos del extranjero, concretamente de países como los Estados Unidos de Norteamérica, Panamá, Argentina y República Dominicana.
